ARIS Hosts Hamburg School of Business Administration Students for a Study Trip in Limassol
From 10-12 October 2023, ARIS (A Really Inspiring Space) had the pleasure of supporting a study trip for a group of students from the Hamburg School of Business Administration, who visited Limassol, Cyprus, accompanied by their tutor, Mr. Jason Harman. The visit was part of the students’ study excursion focused on energy and renewables, shipping and maritime, banking and fintech, and start-up ecosystems.
Day 1: ARIS Acceleration Program and Interactive Workshop The first stop on October 10 was ARIS, where the students learned about the structure and benefits of ARIS’s acceleration program. They participated in an interactive brainstorming workshop led by Dr. Elias Hadjielias, Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship at Cyprus University of Technology, where they engaged with resident start-ups and discussed entrepreneurial ideas and challenges.
Day 2: BSM Cyprus Maritime Training Center On October 11, the group visited the BSM Cyprus Maritime Training Center to gain insights into the maritime industry. The students explored the company’s extensive global operations and enjoyed a tour of the premises. One of the highlights was using the state-of-the-art bridge simulator, allowing students to “drive” a cargo ship in various weather conditions using augmented reality.
Day 2: CUTing Edge The second visit of the day was to CUTing Edge, where the students and ARIS representatives explored cutting-edge technology like 3D printers, drones, robotics, and even experienced Virtual Reality. The visit offered students a glimpse into the potential of these technologies in various industries.
Day 3: SignalGenerix On October 12, the students visited SignalGenerix, where they delved into the world of digital signal processing and communications. They learned about the company’s innovative solutions and how these technologies impact the community.

This excursion provided an enriching experience for the Hamburg students, blending learning, technology, and entrepreneurship, while showcasing the innovative landscape of Cyprus.
