Hosting SEntrA Project’s Learning Training Activity

ARIS A Really Inspiring Space was pleased to organise and host SEntrA’s Learning Training Activity led by the Atlantic Technological University, in partnership with Asset Technology, Norsensus Mediaforum and Fundatia Danis, which took place between 13/06/2022 and 19/06/2022, in Limassol, Cyprus. SEntrA aims to promote social entrepreneurship among young people by offering a set of non-formal learning tools supporting youth workers and organizations to actively enhance youth social entrepreneurship. The project is co-funded by the European Commission through Erasmus+ Programme and the National Agency in Ireland- Leargas.

Altogether, 25 youth workers from Cyprus, Greece, Ireland, Norway, and Romania participated in the training in which they were able to learn how to educate and train young people in all aspects of social entrepreneurship. The general aim of the training workshops was to provide youth workers with an understanding of how to set up a social entrepreneurship education program, to support young people’s social initiatives following the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the design thinking process, as well as inspire youth workers from different European countries to work in an international context.

articipants had the opportunity to participate in interesting and interactive activities on topics including the social-economic context of the participant countries, case studies of accelerators and incubators, learn about the social business model, and tools of the design thinking process and how to implement them. During the week, participants also visited our space at ARIS, where we presented the accelerator program, its objectives, and offerings, to provide the youth workers with an understanding of how ARIS operates and supports new tech enterprises in reality but also some of the tools used for start-ups (such as the business model canvas, affinity map, financial projects, one-pager, and pitch deck). Also, presentations were held by resident start-ups Irerobot and Verality, Synthesis Center for Research and Innovation and Agia Skepi, all organisations with an incredibly important social impact on the core of their mission.

It is important to mention that all participants were provided with Youthpass certificates recognizing their participation in the course.
