On the 28th of March students of the IDEA FACTORY Program visited ARIS for the fourth practical seminar powered by ARIS, which was dedicated to developing a perfect pitch deck. IDEA FACTORY runs within the ‘New Enterprise Creation’ module of the BA Management, of the Department of Management, Entrepreneurship and Digital Business, at the Cyprus University of Technology and is coordinated by Dr. Elias Hadjielias.
So, what is a Pitch deck?
A pitch deck is a visual document that provides a brief but comprehensive overview of a startup company. It is a series of slides that tell the story of the startup to potential investors, customers, co-founders, and partners. Although pitch deck presentations appear simple, a successful presentation must be structured thoughtfully and purposefully to have the greatest impact.
As a result, the fourth practical seminar, focused on developing the perfect pitch deck and pitching skills to make an impactful impression. The session provided valuable information to the program’s student start-up teams, as Eliza Loucaidou, Director at Deloitte’s Innovation & Entrepreneurship Centre, and ARIS, delivered the seminar and provided real-life examples from ARIS acceleration program start-ups.
The workshop that followed, involved mentoring of 10 student teams by a team of mentors from ARIS and CUT to reflect on their pitch decks and other aspects of their businesses.
